When I Grow Up, I Want To Be A Rock Star

Today was nothing special but a long boring day. And tonight, I could've been at Lawrence's bar, enjoying a gig. Unfortunately, we were invited on a short notice and it turned out to be an acoustic set. First off, I'm dying to perform anywhere. Second, we're (we as in Boogs, Roy and JC) not an acoustic band. Come on, you've seen us play, we played all reggae and jazz last time. Lastly, it was a big opportunity we missed. Anyway, I promised Lawrence that we'll make an acoustic set and we'll play for him. But not now, today's just too early. Boogs is also getting us rigged at Ikkois. He has a couple of hot friends who played there and they were hubba-hubba. I think Mark (from Bene) is going to play there. I want to watch! I think it's a reggae set, because all the bands that played there are reggae, which is all cool! Mark's band is called Lumabayao Dub. I hope my friends will be able to support us and be there in our gigs. Hahaha! You know, it makes the place more filled up and they get more customers. <laughs out loud> Last night, my mom was complaining about me using the phone line too much. I admit it, but I can't help it. I've been connected to the net for more than a hundred hours this week and it's all free. That's why I can't resist doing it. I've figured out how to bypass the disconnection time in the free sessions of my ISP, so I get connected to until what time I want. I somehow know how, but not why. It's amazing! I can say it's a flaw in the database program. Hahaha! I got to download a string quartet's tribute to Incubus. I got the two volumes they released and it was very entertaining. Too bad, the members weren't mentioned. I'll include some sample clips next time. I found other tributes to other bands but I couldn't find them, I wanted to get the one for 311. I also got Constructor again. It's a very very old game, way back when computers only had DOS. I didn't get to play this game much when I had it before because my brother erased it and I didn't find the title again. It only sucks that it doesn't work with Windows XP anymore! I was so desperate that I had plans on installing Windows 98 on the PC so I could play it. But I had an idea, I'll play it on my mom's laptop which runs on it. Haha! I just found out that Chris Sawyer just released Locomotion. A remake of Transport Tycoon, another old game with mediocore graphics. But this time, Locomotion now has the same look and interface as RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. In this type of games, it doesn't matter how the good the graphics are, it's watching what you built grow or progress. I really can't express it right, but I enjoy playing these games and seeing your work in action. That's my taste and I have a couple of games from the Tycoon and SIM series. I guess that's my field of entertainment, it's not hard to make me happy. Tycoon and simulation games are my definition of video games, we have our own tastes so shut the fuck up. Besides, for more than 10 years, these games by Chris Sawyer are still enjoyed by millions by me and many more fanatics. He's like the Scottish version of Sid Meier, the creator of the famous Civilization series. So, there goes my game review. That's all the shit for today. I hope to see you all in our gigs! <shows sad puppy eyes>
