How To Earn Bragging Rights

So this is how our Band Festival went. Preparation was done around 6PM, I sorta got involved in it. The sound system sucked but it didn't matter that much since the event was [considered] small. We couldn't start the sound check because the other amps haven't arrived yet. It got me frustrated and I was so hungry too, so we left to eat and got back right when it was about to start. Time was given for everyone to eat and stuff, the main program started exactly at 8. The first band that played is the one from the YFC guy. They were pretty good, our biggest contender that night. They almost kicked our ass when they played the disco songs but ,luckily , only the first three songs were only based. It pissed me off when they had to borrow my bass because I didn't know the guy that was going to use it and they only asked permission minutes before they played so I couldn't say no. Hehe, I can't say no anyway. The next band was Don's band, the Fish Cakes. They were great too, most probably supervised by JC and his brother. They had some good songs too. The band before us was the band of Paolo (Wheel), I think it was something something pain. I forgot. They played pretty nice since they all were into the same genre but the thing with playing too much underground, emo and/or screamo didn't fit battles like this. Our turn came and I really had doubts. I really thought that the first band would win because honestly, I can't say that we're not that really good yet. We still need a lot of retouching. If we participated in some other battle/contest, we would probably lose. But I guess all that practice payed it off. Oh yeah, our set list was Hinahanap-Hanap Kita by Rivermaya, Sunday Morning by Maroon 5 and Counting Blue Cars by Dishwalla. I asked Migs to have it video taped. Mr. Faune asked me to document the event, I ended up asking Migs to do everything. After that, of all the things to forget, I left ahead without helping to clean-up. Man, I was so hyped but that was still not a valid excuse. We celebrated after that and I went home around 2 or something. I guess that's pretty much it. I got a shirt and my share from the prize. I'll post pictures later when I grab a hold of a copy.
